Greene County district court, week ending Oct. 23

In Greene County district court Steven Logan Dzuris, 32, of Jefferson was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. Kayli Jayde Elsberry, 23, of Boone was sentenced to one year in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and she was placed on informal probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year. She may complete the Des Moines Area Community College 48-hour alcohol education program in lieu of the jail time. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. Elsberry was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge; one-half will be waived if she obtains a temporary restricted license. She must pay $21.40 restitution for property damaged and $100 court costs. Austin Michael Laverne Lindahl, 19, of Boone was sentenced to one year in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of OWI. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He may complete the DMACC 48-hour alcohol education program in lieu of the jail time. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Lindahl was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge; one-half will be waived if he obtains a temporary restricted license. He must pay $119.70 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Jill Elizabeth Zito, 60, of Jefferson, forgery; Dawn Marie Brown, 49, of Perry, forgery; Samantha Nicole Joy, 23, of Scranton, child endangerment; and Dalton Weber, 22, of Scranton, supply alcohol to person under legal age (three counts). Trial dates were set for Jan. 26 in every case.

Cases were initiated as follows: Justin Michael Cosnotti, 35, of Jefferson, dominion/control of firearm/offensive weapon by domestic abuse offender; Shayla Nicole Stephenson, 30, of Grand Junction, driving while license revoked; and Tandall Gerald Venteicher, 51, of Scranton, domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense.
